## Synopsis

Fear the Walking Dead (2015-2023) is an American television horror drama series created by Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson for AMC. Set in Los Angeles at the first days of the zombie outbreak, it follows a blended family led by high school guidance counselor Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) and her son Nick (Frank Dillane), alongside her boyfriend Travis Manawa (Cliff Curtis) and his teenage son Chris. Their central struggle is to hold a fractured household together while the city's order collapses around them, scavenging for supplies, finding shelter and deciding whom to trust. Madison and Travis's relationship is tested as the stakes escalate, and later characters including Morgan Jones (Lennie James) and Victor Strand (Colman Domingo) bring a broader survival network to the story. Across eight seasons the show plays as a serialized, continuing saga rather than a case-of-the-week format, with each season moving the group through new locations and new threats. Its register is bleak and tense, with dread built from ordinary routines disrupted by violence. Fans of The Walking Dead, The Leftovers and Station Eleven will find resonance in its blend of apocalyptic horror and intimate family drama.
