## Synopsis

The Girl Who Sees Smells (2015) is a South Korean supernatural crime romance series created by Man Chwi and Lee Hee-myung for SBS. Park Yoo-chun plays Choi Mu-gak, a police officer who has lost the ability to feel physical pain, and Shin Sae-kyeong plays Oh Cho-rim, a young woman with synesthesia whose heightened sense of smell lets her read people and places through scent. Their engine is a hunt for a serial killer whose crimes destroyed both their lives, with each clue pulled from the sensory gifts that set them apart from ordinary investigators. Namkoong Min and Yoon Jin-seo fill out the principal cast as the wider web of suspects and allies closes in. Across one sixteen-episode run, the series alternates case-driven investigations with a slowly warming romance, all shaped by grief and the cost of remembering. Its tone mixes tense, brooding crime sequences with tender, wistful romantic beats and flashes of romcom lightness. Fans of Hannibal, Mental Coach Jegal and Pinocchio will find resonance in its blend of dark detective work and emotionally charged, sensory-driven romance. The result is a stylish, bittersweet Korean television drama built on a single, tightly serialized mystery.
