## Synopsis

The Next Step (2013-2025) is a Canadian family drama and teen drama series created by Frank Van Keeken for Family Channel. Its story follows an elite group of young dancers who train at The Next Step Studio, where Michelle (Victoria Baldesarra), Riley (Brittany Raymond), Amanda (Logan Fabbro), Eldon (Isaac Lupien) and Chloe (Jennifer Pappas) balance rigorous rehearsals with school, friendships and rivalries. Each episode builds around the studio's routines, auditions and performances, while friendships, romance and ambition carry the drama from one season to the next. The show runs for ten seasons and more than two hundred seventy episodes, so its arcs develop steadily over time. Its tone is bright, wholesome and earnest, with a warm, youthful energy suited to family viewing. Fans of Fame, Degrassi: The Next Generation and Glee will find a similar mix of performance, coming of age and close-knit friendships. The result is a comfortable, sincere series centred on the discipline and camaraderie of young dancers.
