## Synopsis

Killjoys (2015-2019) is a Canadian space opera series created by M. A. Lovretta for Syfy and Space. Hannah John-Kamen plays Dutch, a sharp-tongued bounty hunter who leads a fun-loving, hard-living trio alongside Aaron Ashmore as John Jaqobis and Luke Macfarlane as D'Avin Jaqobis. Bound by a code that forbids them from taking sides, they track deadly warrants across the Quad, a cluster of planets edging toward open revolt. Each episode is built around a new hunt, a crooked corporation, or a dangerous mark, while season-long arcs pull the crew deeper into family secrets and the shifting loyalties of a fractured system. The show runs five seasons of ten episodes each, a serialized space adventure with brisk action, sly humor, and a rough-edged, scrappy tone. Its stakes are personal as well as political, and its found-family warmth sits beside gritty violence and frank adult content. Fans of Firefly, The Expanse, and Dark Matter will find a similar blend of wisecracking crews, lived-in spaceships, and rebellion on the margins of a crowded galaxy.
