## Synopsis

Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold (2015) is a Japanese original net animation spin-off series created for Bandai Channel and Niconico, produced by Toei Animation. It follows the twelve Gold Saints, the elite warriors of the Greek goddess Athena, who return from death in a mysterious revival to protect love and peace on Earth. Leo Aiolia, voiced by Hideyuki Tanaka, becomes the emotional center as he is drawn into a deep mystery and a duel, pushing his cosmo to its limit so that the Cloth of Leo transforms. Alongside him, Aries Mu (Takumi Yamazaki), Scorpio Milo (Toshihiko Seki) and Aquarius Camus (Nobutoshi Canna) face opponents tied to the underworld, with Hades looming over the wider war. The engine of each episode is the cost of battle: warriors burn their own life force, shift between allegiances and guard a world that has already tried to bury them. Thirteen 24-minute episodes build a single continuing arc with serialized chapters of mythic combat. The tone is epic and earnest, with bursts of flashy shonen spectacle, grand armor transformations and a melancholic undercurrent about sacrifice. Fans of the original Saint Seiya, Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas and Fate/Zero will find resonance in its blend of Greek myth, zodiac-based heroism and high-stakes action.
