## Synopsis

1992 (2015) is an Italian national-television political drama miniseries created by Alessandro Fabbri, Ludovica Rampoldi and Stefano Sardo, produced for Sky Atlantic. Stefano Accorsi plays Leonardo Notte, a driven figure caught at the center of a major criminal investigation, while Guido Caprino as Pietro Bosco, Miriam Leone as Veronica Castello, Domenico Diele as Luca Pastore and Tea Falco as Bibi Mainaghi widen the frame across journalism, business and government. The engine is pressure: each character wants a clean outcome in a probe that keeps uncovering deeper layers of graft, and every episode tightens the net around powerful men who would rather the system survive. Told as a single ten-episode season, the series builds a continuing story where order matters, with its investigations, backroom deals and personal compromises stacked into one escalating arc. The setting is early 1990s Italy, a country on the edge of a political reckoning, rendered with a gritty, anxious atmosphere. Its tone is tense, cynical and morally heavy, a visceral portrait of institutional decay. Fans of The Wire and Gomorra will find resonance in its dense web of corruption and its portrait of a nation's power structures under strain.
