## Synopsis

O Negocio (2013-2018) is a Brazilian comedy-drama series created by Luca Paiva Mello and Rodrigo Castilho for HBO Brasil. Three call girls, Karin (Rafaela Mandelli), Luna (Juliana Schalch) and Magali Becker (Michelle Batista), decide to treat their trade like a business, borrowing marketing knowledge to build and sell their services. Their engine is ambition colliding with the risks, rivals and personal entanglements of the sex trade, and each season follows their schemes and clients across the nightlife of a large Brazilian city. Ensemble supporting roles include Guilherme Weber as Ariel and Aline Jones as Mia. Running four seasons and fifty-one episodes of roughly fifty-five minutes, it is a frank, candid sex comedy with a streetwise, female-driven energy. Its tone mixes irreverent humor with melancholy about money and dependence. Fans of Hung, Girls and Sex and the City will find resonance in its adult candor and its women-led ensemble.
