## Synopsis

Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches (2015) is a Japanese animated romantic comedy series produced for TOKYO MX and based on the manga of the same name. High school boy Ryu Yamada (voiced by Ryota Osaka) and popular classmate Urara Shiraishi (voiced by Saori Hayami) collide on a staircase and wake to find they have swapped bodies. Their awkward attempts to live each other's lives drive the premise, while the two also begin to suspect that the school hides stranger secrets than their switched bodies. Each of the twelve episodes of this single-season run mixes flustered comedy with a gradually building supernatural mystery, moving through everyday school routines and the couple's growing unease with each other's habits. The atmosphere is breezy and playful, with bursts of teasing innuendo and bromance-tinged banter among the supporting cast, including Toshiki Masuda as Toranosuke Miyamura and Maaya Uchida as Miyabi Ito. Set in a contemporary Japanese high school, the show carries the lighthearted, romance-forward energy of school-based anime comedies, and fans of Freaky Friday, Rosario + Vampire and Nisekoi will find familiar pleasures in its mix of body-swap mischief, supernatural intrigue and youthful romantic tension.
