## Synopsis

Review (2014-2017) is an American mockumentary comedy series created by Andy Daly for Comedy Central. Andy Daly plays Forrest MacNeil, a earnest television critic who rates life's extreme experiences on a one-to-five-star scale, from petty theft to drug addiction to bedding a celebrity. Viewer suggestions drive each episode, and MacNeil throws himself into every challenge with total commitment, while the people around him absorb the fallout. Megan Stevenson plays his producer A J Gibbs, Jessica St. Clair plays his wife Suzanne MacNeil, and James Urbaniak plays Grant Grunderschmidt, a figure whose role in the show's escalating chaos keeps the pressure building. The engine of the series is MacNeil's refusal to stop, even as each assignment costs him more. Across three seasons and twenty-two episodes, the show keeps a single arc running under its self-contained experiments. The tone is deadpan and cringe-inflected, with a documentary style that treats absurd stakes with complete sincerity. Fans of Nathan for You, The Office and Documentary Now! will find resonance in its awkward host, faux-documentary framing and steadily mounting discomfort, all set in present-day America.
