## Synopsis

Nisekoi (2014-2015) is a Japanese animated romantic comedy series produced by SHAFT and broadcast on TOKYO MX, a two-season shounen anime adapted from a manga. Average high school student Raku Ichijo, voiced by Koki Uchiyama, is secretly the sole heir to the Shuei-gumi yakuza family, and his life turns chaotic when a rivalry with classmate Chitoge Kirisaki, voiced by Nao Toyama, forces the pair into a fake relationship to keep their rival gangs at bay. Raku still carries a pendant tied to a childhood vow with a girl he has never forgotten, and that promise keeps tugging at his affections as classmate Kosaki Onodera, voiced by Kana Hanazawa, grows closer to him. Across thirty-two episodes the engine is a steady cycle of misunderstandings, jealous schemes, and awkward school events, each episode built on comic escalation and flustered confessions. The tone is breezy and farcical with a warm, sincere undercurrent about first love and loyalty. Fans of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, Rent-a-Girlfriend and Toradora! will find the same mix of fake-couple chaos and romantic tension.
