## Synopsis

Lovesick (2014-2018) is a British comedy series created by Tom Edge for Channel 4, later available on Netflix. Johnny Flynn plays Dylan Witter, a young Glasgow man who, after learning he has a sexually transmitted infection, must track down every woman he has slept with and tell each one the bad news. Antonia Thomas plays Evie Douglas, a woman he is still drawn to, while Daniel Ings plays his close friend Luke Curran and Joshua McGuire plays Angus Baker, whose own romantic mess runs alongside Dylan's. The engine of each episode is the awkward confession itself: a doorstep apology, a stilted coffee, a conversation that goes sideways, with the friends' loyalties and love lives tangled around it. The show runs three seasons and twenty-two episodes of short sitcom-length comedy, a serialized story where the fallout of each season carries forward. Its register is irreverent, frank and cringe-inducing, with a warm undertow of friendship. Set in contemporary Glasgow, it sits in the tradition of British young adult comedy, and fans of Fleabag, Girls and How I Met Your Mother will find its mix of sexual candour and romantic fumbling familiar.
