## Synopsis

The Profit (2013-2021) is an American business reality series created for CNBC and hosted by Camping World chief executive Marcus Lemonis, who appears as himself. Across eight seasons and 115 episodes, Lemonis searches for failing companies desperate for cash, then makes an offer he calls impossible to refuse: his own money in exchange for a share of the business and a percentage of its profits. Each episode follows the deal and the hands-on rescue that comes after, as he may fire a president, promote a secretary, or take on the work himself to save the company and earn his return. The format is a case-by-case unscripted series rather than a continuing drama, so every episode stands on its own while the seasons build a steady catalogue of turnarounds. The tone is brisk, confident and practical, with a sense of risk and reward running under each negotiation. Fans of Shark Tank, Kitchen Nightmares and Undercover Boss will find a similar appeal in watching business owners confront hard truths on camera. The show rewards viewers who enjoy seeing ailing enterprises revived through blunt decisions and personal stakes.
