## Synopsis

Kamisama Kiss (2012-2015) is a Japanese anime supernatural romantic comedy produced by TMS Entertainment and broadcast on TV Tokyo and affiliated stations. High school girl Nanami Momozono (voiced by Suzuko Mimori) is unexpectedly marked as a Land God after a stranger's kiss, and she must learn the duties of a deity while balancing ordinary school life. Her reluctant familiar is Tomoe, a reformed fox demon voiced by Daisuke Namikawa's counterpart in the cast, who is bound to her by a contract sealed with a kiss and who pushes her hard to become worthy of her title. The engine of each episode is a steady run of small shrine problems, demon encounters and romantic complications, including a crow demon posing as a pop idol and a snake spirit who has chosen Nanami as his bride. The story spans two seasons across twenty-five episodes, with a light episodic rhythm that gradually builds a continuing romantic and divine arc. Set in present-day Japan where Shinto gods and spirits quietly share the modern world, the series is warm, playful and cozy, with a mix of gentle humor and flirtatious tension. Fans of Fruits Basket, Noragami and Mystic Messenger will find resonance in its blend of supernatural courtship and everyday spirituality.
