## Synopsis

Best Friends Whenever (2015-2016) is a American Disney Channel family sitcom created by Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas for Disney Channel. When aspiring scientist Barry's invention goes awry, best friends Shelby Marcus (Lauren Taylor) and Cyd Ripley (Landry Bender) gain the power to leap forward and backward in time whenever they want. Their engine is simple and comic: they must decide between fixing mistakes in the past or glimpsing the future, while navigating high school life and the chaos created by Shelby's mischievous twin brothers, Bret and Chet, played by Benjamin Royer and Matthew Royer. Meanwhile, Barry (August Kamp) and his assistant Naldo Montoya (Ricky Garcia) keep trying to replicate time travel for themselves, producing their own tangled misadventures. Each episode is a brisk, self-contained twenty-three-minute romp built around a single time-hopping mishap. The show runs across two seasons and thirty-two episodes, and its bright, cheerful tone keeps the focus on friendship and family. Fans of Good Luck Charlie, Phineas and Ferb, and Back to the Future will find a similar mix of playful young comedy and time-bending fun.
