## Synopsis

Just Add Magic (2016-2019) is an American family fantasy comedy created by Olivia Sanabia, Aubrey K. Miller and Abby Donnelly and produced for Amazon Studios and Prime Video. Kelly Quinn, played by co-creator Olivia Sanabia, and her best friends Darbie O'Brien (Abby Donnelly) and Hannah Parker-Kent (Aubrey K. Miller) find a grandmother's mysterious cookbook in an attic and discover that its recipes carry real magic. Grandma (Dee Wallace) and family members including Mama P (Amy Hill) and Kelly's brother Scott Quinn (Andrew Burlinson) orbit the household where the girls test each enchanted dish. The engine of each episode is simple: a recipe is cooked, a spell misfires or lands in an awkward place, and the girls scramble to fix the fallout before anyone notices. The show runs across three seasons and fifty episodes as a kids' serialized comedy with a continuing mystery about the cookbook's origins, not a strict case-of-the-week format. Its sunny, lighthearted register stays warm and playful, with friendship and loyalty at the center. Set in a contemporary American suburban home, it suits viewers who enjoy gentle magic in everyday life, in the spirit of Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Wizards of Waverly Place.
