Reviewers broadly find it lively and funny but formulaic, with its appeal depending on the cast's comic energy.

## Synopsis

This irreverent sitcom follows a struggling rock band and the people orbiting it as they chase fame, money and a second chance in the early 1990s Los Angeles music scene. Its tone is loud, playful and unapologetically crude, with a steady stream of bickering, bruised egos and comic misadventures that keep the energy brisk. Episodes lean on the absurdity of the music business, from hollow record label promises to the vanity of performers who still believe they are headliners. Beneath the jokes runs a warm current of loyalty between bandmates and friends who have stuck together through lean years. The humor is broad and self-aware, often mocking rock star myths while still treating the characters' hopes with affection. Viewers who enjoy workplace comedies, rock nostalgia and cynical takes on show business will find a familiar, lively mix here. The series runs as a continuous serialized comedy across its run, with its ending left open rather than neatly resolved.
