## Synopsis

Los misterios de Laura (2009-2014) is a Spanish crime mystery series created by Javier Holgado and Carlos Vila for La 1. Police inspector Laura Lebrel del Bosque (María Pujalte) uses intuition and unorthodox methods to solve impossible crimes, dismantling alibis and identifying the murderer within each episode. Her marriage to fellow inspector Jacobo Salgado (Fernando Guillén Cuervo) is going through a rough patch, and she must also handle the demands of being a housewife and mother to twin five-year-olds. Her workmate Martín Maresca (Oriol Tarrasón) keeps stumbling into trouble, adding comic friction to the investigations. Running for three seasons and thirty-two episodes of roughly seventy minutes, the show works as a case-of-the-week procedural, with each story self-contained and resolved by the end of the hour. The tone is light and cozy, a warm domestic counterpoint to the puzzle-solving. Fans of Columbo, Murder, She Wrote and Castle will find resonance in its clever whodunit pleasures and its blend of family life with investigation.
