## Synopsis

Darknet (2013-2014) is a Canadian horror anthology miniseries broadcast on Super Channel. Across six episodes of roughly twenty-five minutes each, a macabre website called Darknet ties together separate tales, each following different characters, including Alison (Michelle Alexander) and Katie (Carlyn Burchell), who are drawn into situations shaped by forces they cannot name or fully understand. The engine of each story is dread: ordinary people encounter escalating and unexplained threats, and the show builds unease through its web-linked structure rather than through a single continuing plot. Its shape is a compact, self-contained run where each episode can stand on its own while the central site hints at a larger connecting design. The tone is eerie, claustrophobic and bleak, with an unsettling, paranoid atmosphere that leans on suggestion and creeping menace. Fans of Black Mirror, Tales from the Crypt and the online-dread thriller Searching will find resonance in its blend of contemporary unease, modern technology and anthology horror. Viewers who enjoy short, sharp chills and mysteries that refuse easy explanation will find this a tight, unsettling watch.
