## Synopsis

Snow White with the Red Hair is a Japanese animated shoujo fantasy romance produced by BONES. Shirayuki, a young woman born with apple-red hair, cuts it off to flee the infatuated Prince Raji after he orders her to become his concubine. Crossing the forests into a neighboring kingdom, she meets Zen Wistaria, a guarded young man whose wounds she cures, and the two become entangled in court intrigue and a poisoning. Her herbal skill and optimism carry her toward a career as a pharmacist, while Zen's quiet character remains a slow-burn puzzle. The series is a gently paced romance rather than a battle-driven adventure, with its warmth anchored in a loyal circle of supporting characters. Its tone is warm, optimistic and cozy, with a steady undercurrent of palace politics and danger. Set in a medieval fictional kingdom, the story blends pharmacy work, royal court maneuvering and a growing attachment between its leads. Fans of gentle shoujo romance will find its hopeful heroine and tender chemistry deeply comforting.
