## Synopsis

Moses and the Ten Commandments (2015-2016) is a Brazilian biblical telenovela created by Vivian de Oliveira for Record. Guilherme Winter plays Moisés, a Hebrew child who escapes Pharaoh's decree against newborn boys and grows into a leader confronting the mighty pharaoh, while Giselle Itié plays his wife Zípora, a steadfast partner in his mission. Sergio Marone plays Ramsés II, whose palace rivalry and hardening heart keep the court scenes tense, and Camila Rodrigues plays Nefertari, a royal figure drawn into the conflict. The engine of the series is a people held in bondage and a reluctant prophet who must answer divine command against imperial pride, with each episode built from palace intrigue, family loyalty, romance, and escalating confrontations between Hebrew slaves and Egyptian authority. Spanning two seasons and 242 episodes, it unfolds as one continuing serialized story in the long-form soap tradition, with the grandeur of ancient Egyptian palaces and desert journeys. Its tone blends reverent faith with melodramatic emotion, sweeping spectacle, and suspense. Fans of The Ten Commandments, Joseph, and classic biblical epics will find resonance in its devotional scale and dramatic stakes.
