## Synopsis

Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls (2015) is a Japanese animated romantic comedy series produced by Lerche and broadcast on AT-X and TOKYO MX, adapted in tone from the anime tradition of ecchi harem comedy. Its twelve episodes follow hapless teenager Kimihito Kurusu, voiced by Junji Majima, who volunteers for a government cultural exchange program and ends up caring for Miia, a snake-like lamia voiced by Sora Amamiya, who moves into his home. Around them gather other creatures, including Papi (Ari Ozawa), Centorea (Natsuki Aikawa) and Suu (Mayuka Nomura), each adjusting in their own way to life among ordinary people. The engine of the show is small domestic friction: a shared kitchen, a school day, a misunderstanding about how a centaur or harpy fits into a human routine. Episodes are self-contained vignettes of cohabitation rather than a rigid plot, giving the series a light, episodic rhythm. Its tone is playful and affectionate, with broad slapstick and romantic teasing balanced by a gentle sense of found family and of a society still learning to live alongside its mythical citizens. Fans of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid and Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? will find similar comedic warmth and fantastical domestic charm here, though the fan-service content is considerably more overt.
