## Synopsis

Con Man is a web-born comedy series created by Alan Tudyk and released through Vimeo and Comic-Con HQ. Alan Tudyk plays Wray Nerely, a former co-star of a canceled cult sci-fi show called Spectrum, who makes a living as the begrudging guest of fan conventions, comic book store signings and pop culture events. Nathan Fillion plays Jack Moore, Wray's friend and former series captain, who has risen to major celebrity while Wray has not, and Mindy Sterling plays Bobbie, adding further friction to his day. The engine of the show is simple: Wray wants recognition and a career revival, but every appearance drags him into strange and escalating mishaps that the outside world never sees. Episodes are short, around twelve minutes each. Its tone is irreverent and deadpan, with a wry affection for fandom and the odd lives of minor celebrities. Fans of Galaxy Quest, Community and Curb Your Enthusiasm will find resonance in its satire of cult fame and convention culture.
