## Synopsis

Glitch (2015-2019) is an Australian supernatural mystery series created by Louise Fox and Tony Ayres for ABC TV. Police officer James Hayes (Patrick Brammall) and doctor Elishia Glass (Genevieve O'Reilly) form the investigative heart of the show, working through an emotionally charged case when seven local residents inexplicably return from the dead in peak physical health. Their engine is a search for the reason behind the returns, with every episode peeling back another layer of confusion, suspicion, and personal loss among the families and neighbours involved. Kate Willis (Emma Booth) and Sarah Hayes (Emily Barclay) bring further emotional weight to the drama, as the returned must be reconciled with the people who once mourned them. Spread across three seasons of six episodes each, the series unfolds as one continuing mystery rather than a case-of-the-week format, moving at a measured pace. Set in a small Australian town with cemetery grounds at its edge, the drama carries a quiet, melancholic dread and a tender focus on grief and the fragile line between life and death. Viewers who enjoy the uneasy small town atmosphere of The Returned and the enigmatic unease of Twin Peaks will find a familiar pull here, alongside the grounded procedural texture of Mystery Road.
