## Synopsis

Club de Cuervos (2015-2019) is a Mexican-set satirical family dramedy created by Gary Alazraki and Michael Lam for Netflix. Chava Iglesias (Luis Gerardo Méndez) and his sister Isabel Iglesias (Mariana Treviño) are the heirs of a prominent family after their patriarch dies, and both want control of the beloved soccer club, the Cuervos of Nuevo Toledo. Their engine is a constant scramble: each sibling schemes, betrays and reconciles while the family's lawyers, employees and rivals close in, and each episode turns on a new maneuver for the team's future. Mary Luz (Stephanie Cayo) and Félix (Daniel Giménez Cacho) add further complications as the family's wider circle tangles with the fight. Across four seasons the series follows one continuing story, a smart, cynical, glossy take on telenovela excess set in contemporary Mexico, with the football club as a dynastic prize. Its tone is biting and melodramatic, mixing sarcasm with genuine sibling pain. Fans of Succession, Arrested Development and Ugly Betty will find resonance in its satire of wealth, rivalry and family loyalty.
