## Synopsis

Rosewood (2015-2017) is an American crime drama series created by Todd Harthan for FOX. Brilliant private pathologist Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr. (Morris Chestnut) uses wildly sophisticated technology and a zest for living life to the fullest to help a tough-as-nails Miami detective, Annalise Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz), and the Miami police department uncover clues no one else can see. Supporting characters include his mother Donna Rosewood (Lorraine Toussaint) and his assistant Tara Milly Izikoff (Anna Konkle), whose personal lives add warmth and humor to each investigation. The series runs for two seasons of twenty-two episodes each, and its engine is a steady stream of homicide cases that the pair must crack by combining forensic science with street-level police work. Each episode is largely self-contained, following a case of the week through autopsy rooms, crime scenes, and precinct offices under the Florida sun. The tone is breezy and buoyant, blending bright, sun-drenched Miami atmosphere with flashes of gruesome crime and bursts of charm. Fans of Bones, CSI: Miami, and Quincy, M.E. will find resonance in its blend of forensic puzzle-solving and offbeat characters, and the series rewards viewers who enjoy inventive investigations with a light heart.
