## Synopsis

Bear Grylls: Escape From Hell (2013) is a British survival documentary series broadcast on Discovery, with Bear Grylls hosting as himself across a single season of six episodes, each running about 44 minutes. Rather than featuring Grylls alone, the series retells the true stories of ordinary people stranded in devastatingly dire situations, combining incredible archive footage with interviews conducted with the survivors themselves. The engine of each episode is a reenactment: Grylls places himself in the same desolate landscapes and faces the same dangers the stranded people faced, showing viewers step by step how survival was achieved. Each installment is a self-contained anthology of its own ordeal, so episodes can be watched in any order. The tone is tense and instructive, with an earnest, practical streak that treats wilderness peril as a test of endurance and resourcefulness. Fans of Man vs. Wild, Born Survivor and Survivorman will find the same blend of outdoor hardship, expert guidance and real-life stakes. The show suits viewers who want survival tactics wrapped in gripping human stories, presented as a Discovery-era factual series with the host's hands-on demonstrations at its center.
