## Synopsis

Beauty and the Baker (2013-2021) is an Israeli romantic comedy series created by Assi Azar for Channel 2 and Keshet 12. Amos (Aviv Alush), a 28-year-old baker who still lives with his parents and works in the family bakery, and Noa Hollander (Rotem Sela), the most famous woman in the country and daughter of a hotel magnate, cross paths through a mistake that neither can shake. Their engine is the gap between their worlds: she is trapped by fame and a modeling career, he by family routine, and every attempt at a normal romance runs into status, image and pressure from people around them. Supporting characters including Vanessa Maimon (Hila Saada), Tzvika Granot (Mark Ivanir) and Merav Dahari (Shani Aviv) complicate the courtship with rivalry, family meddling and career crises. The series runs three seasons across 24 half-hour episodes, a serialized romance where each season builds on the last. Set in contemporary Tel Aviv and its surrounding middle-class and celebrity circles, it is a light, sincere, warm comedy with a romantic heartbeat and a bittersweet undertow. Fans of Ugly Betty, Jane the Virgin and Shtisel will find resonance in its class-crossing romance and family-centered humor.
