## Synopsis

Attack on Titan: Junior High (2015) is a Japanese animated parody sitcom series created by Saki Nakagawa for MBS. Adapted from the spinoff manga written by Nakagawa, it reimagines the grim cast of Attack on Titan as students and teachers at Titan Junior High School. Yuki Kaji voices Eren Yeager, Yui Ishikawa voices Mikasa Ackerman, Marina Inoue voices Armin Arlert, and Hiroshi Kamiya voices Levi, all rendered in small chibi designs. The engine of the show is the collision between the franchise's familiar grave stakes and the petty routines of school life: exams, clubs, rivalries, and teachers who take their roles far too seriously. Each brisk episode of this twelve-episode, single-season run is a self-contained gag-driven sketch rather than a continuing plot. The tone is deadpan and irreverent, with the giant monster menace reduced to classroom punchlines. Set in a school that stands in for the walled world of the original, it works as a light, affectionate spoof of shonen anime. Fans of Gintama, Nichijou and Pop Team Epic will find similar absurdist parody and chibi slice of life humor here.
