## Synopsis

Agent X (2015) is an American network action thriller series created by William Blake Herron for TNT. Sharon Stone plays Vice President Natalie Maccabee, who controls a top secret operative, Agent X, played by Jeff Hephner. The agent is trained and ready to serve, yet kept hidden from the public and even from President Eckhart (John Shea), so every mission depends on the Vice President's careful discretion. Pamela Richardson (Carolyn Stotesbery) and the enigmatic Moses (Paul Tully) add to the web of allies and loyalties that surrounds the covert program. The engine of the series is the tension between secret power and political accountability, as each assignment threatens to expose the operation and tests who can be trusted in the corridors of government. Its single ten-episode season is built around standalone threats that move through international hot spots and domestic crises, with a continuing thread of conspiracy beneath them. The mood is taut and paranoid, driven by cloak and dagger intrigue and the moral weight of deniable violence. Fans of 24, Covert Affairs and Scandal will find resonance in its blend of espionage, backroom politics and high-stakes action. The series was canceled after one season, leaving its central storyline unfinished.
