## Synopsis

Porta dos Fundos (2012-2023) is a Brazilian sketch comedy series created by Ian SBF, Fábio Porchat, Gabriel Esteves, Antonio Tabet, Gregório Duvivier and João Vicente de Castro, distributed through YouTube. Rather than following one continuing plot, the series is built from a huge run of roughly three-minute short comedy films, with over sixteen hundred episodes across eleven seasons. Its engine is quick, absurd setups that escalate into ridiculous punchlines, with a recurring ensemble of performers that includes Antonio Tabet, Rafael Portugal, Luís Lobianco, Karina Ramil and João Vicente de Castro. Each short tends to mock everyday Brazilian life, social habits and pop culture with a sharp, irreverent edge. The register is breezy, playful and cheeky, with bursts of satirical bite and deadpan absurdity. Viewers who enjoy Saturday Night Live, Monty Python's Flying Circus and The Kids in the Hall will recognise the same sketch-based appeal, delivered in the rapid, bite-sized style of online video. It works equally well as a quick laugh between other activities or as a long catalogue to dip into one short at a time.
