## Synopsis

Blue Eyes (2014-2015) is a Swedish national-television political thriller miniseries broadcast on SVT1. Across a single season of ten hour-long episodes, the story follows an investigation that begins when the chief of staff at the Justice Department disappears without a trace just as an extreme right-wing party heads toward its best election result in its history. The engine of the series is a race against time to find out who is behind the vanishing and what the official knew, while the campaign trail, backroom negotiations and the party's rising popularity press in from every side. Louise Peterhoff, Sven Nordin and Kjell Wilhelmsen anchor a cast whose loyalties and secrets keep shifting as the pressure mounts. Each episode turns over another layer of political maneuvering, leaked documents and tense confrontations. Set in contemporary Sweden, the drama treats racism, immigration and nationalism as live questions rather than abstractions. Its tone is cold, tense and paranoid, with a propulsive pace and a grounded visual sensibility. Fans of Borgen, Spooks and The Killing will find resonance in its political stakes and conspiratorial dread, and it stands as a self-contained Nordic noir entry with a complete arc.
