## Synopsis

Renegade (1992-1997) is an American action crime series created by Stephen J. Cannell for USA Network and first-run syndication. Lorenzo Lamas plays Detective Reno Raines, a framed cop who becomes a fugitive bounty hunter after testifying against police corruption. Branscombe Richmond plays his partner Bobby Sixkiller, and Kathleen Kinmont plays Cheyenne Phillips, while Stephen J. Cannell himself appears as Lt. Donald Dixon, the corrupt officer who set Raines up. Each hour-long episode has Raines tracking a new fugitive for bounty while working toward clearing his name, so the engine is a steady run of captures, close escapes, and fights that keep pressure on the chase. The five-season run spans 110 episodes in a case-of-the-week format with a continuing thread of conspiracy and revenge. Set in a contemporary American landscape of motorcycles, back roads, and bail-bond offices, the show offers gritty, brisk, adrenaline-driven storytelling with a rough-edged 1990s sensibility. Fans of The Fugitive, Walker, Texas Ranger, and The A-Team will find resonance in its blend of martial arts action, vigilante justice, and wrongful-accusation drama.
