## Synopsis

Six Flying Dragons (2015-2016) is a South Korean historical drama series created for SBS, a sweeping fifty-episode period epic set in the turbulent end of the Goryeo dynasty and the founding of Joseon. Prince Lee Bang-won (Yoo Ah-in) rallies a close circle of six companions, including Boon-yi (Shin Sae-kyeong) and Ddang-sae (Byun Yo-han), as he pursues power and a new nation. Opposing him is the brilliant strategist Jeong Do-jeon (Kim Myung-min), whose ideological vision for the kingdom sets the two men on a collision course. Lee Seong-gye (Cheon Ho-jin) anchors the military and dynastic stakes. Each episode is built from palace maneuvering, shifting alliances, scheming ministers, and sword fights on battlefields and in courtyards, so the drama unfolds as a single continuing saga where every betrayal carries weight. The tone is earnest and sometimes harrowing, with a grand, weighty atmosphere, a bromance-tinged bond among the companions, and a steady focus on the cost of ambition. Fans of Tree With Deep Roots, Jewel in the Palace and Game of Thrones will find resonance in its court intrigue, sprawling cast, and dynastic stakes.
