## Synopsis

Casual (2015-2018) is an American single-camera comedy created by Zander Lehmann and Jason Reitman for Hulu. Recently divorced Tara and her bachelor brother Alex Cole (Tommy Dewey) live under the same roof again while she raises her teenage daughter Laura (Tara Lynne Barr). The engine of the show is their mutual coaching through the modern dating scene, both online and off, where every awkward date, app match, and romantic misstep becomes a family conversation. Each episode follows the household's push and pull as the siblings try to help each other move on while their own habits keep getting in the way. Across four seasons and forty-four episodes, it stays a single continuing story in which the family's shared home is the stage for every romantic setback. Its tone is wry, cringe-prone, and warm, grounded in domestic detail rather than spectacle. Fans of Divorce, Transparent, and Girls will find resonance in its frank portrait of adult family life and messy modern romance.
