## Synopsis

Fight! Kickers (1986-1987) is a Japanese animated sports series created for Nippon TV and produced by Pierrot, a single-season run of 26 episodes of about 25 minutes each. The Kitahara Kickers are a youth soccer team stuck in a punishing run of 22 consecutive defeats, and the story follows the spiral of losses alongside a newcomer whose bright attitude reawakens the passion his teammates have quietly lost. Voice cast members including Tomiko Suzuki as Kakeru Daichi, Kazue Ikura as Masaru Hongo and Noriko Tsukase as Kenta Ishii carry the ensemble, with the focus on practice fields, rough matches and the friendships that hold a struggling squad together. Each episode builds on the team's effort to climb out of its slump, with the emotional engine being the question of whether a group can rediscover why it plays at all. The register is earnest and warm, with a hopeful, sincere tone and a clear sense of youthful determination rather than cynicism. Fans of Captain Tsubasa, Ashita no Joe and Hajime no Ippo will find resonance in its underdog spirit, team loyalty and the classic shonen-style sports arc, making it an accessible pick for families and younger viewers who enjoy soccer stories.
