## Synopsis

No Second Chance (2015) is a French television miniseries created by Sydney Gallonde for TF1. Alexandra Lamy plays Alice Lambert, a doctor whose search for her missing baby daughter pulls her into a web of ruthless criminals and suspicious cops. Charlotte Des Georges plays Romano, and Hippolyte Girardot plays Tessier, both principal figures whose motives remain tangled with the investigation. The engine of the series is simple and urgent: a mother with no institutional allies must trace who took her child while every lead threatens to implicate her further. Each of its six episodes of roughly fifty minutes tightens the net around her, moving between clinic corridors, police offices and the underworld that hides behind them. The story runs as one continuous arc in a single season, a compact limited series built on suspense rather than spectacle. Its tone is tense, anxious and emotionally raw, with dread carried by the protagonist's exhaustion and desperation. Fans of Braquo, The Missing and Broadchurch will find resonance in its grim procedural pulse, its moral ambiguity and its focus on a parent pushed to the edge of what she can endure in a contemporary French setting.
