## Synopsis

W/ Bob & David (2015) is a American sketch comedy series created by Bob Odenkirk and David Cross for Netflix. Across five short episodes of roughly half an hour each, the pair perform nearly every role themselves, with Odenkirk and Cross swapping in new characters, scenes, and wigs in every sketch so no recurring cast carries the show. The engine is the escalation of ordinary premises into bizarre, uncomfortable territory: a mundane setup turns cynical, then absurd, and the comedy lands on the jolt of that turn. Supporting performers such as John Ennis, Jay Johnston, Brian Posehn, and Paul F. Tompkins fill out the sketches alongside them. The show is a single limited run rather than a continuing story, so each episode stands on its own as a compact burst of dark, irreverent humor. Its tone is sardonic, deadpan, and sometimes harsh, with a self-mocking streak that plays against the fictional premise of two former Navy Seals now making comedy. Fans of Key & Peele, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, and The Ben Stiller Show will find kindred absurdist energy and the same willingness to let a sketch go somewhere uncomfortable.
