## Synopsis

The Hunt (2015) is a British natural history docuseries created for BBC One and narrated by Sir David Attenborough. Across seven hour-long episodes it follows the relationship between predators and their prey, setting aside the blood and guts of the kill to focus on the tactics hunters use to catch food and the escape strategies animals deploy to survive. Rather than a single protagonist, the series is built around recurring pairings of stalker and quarry, with Attenborough's measured voice tying together sequences of stealth, ambush, pursuit and evasion filmed in unprecedented detail. Each episode is a self-contained study of a different environment and set of animal behaviours, giving the series an episodic shape that can be watched in any order. The tone is awestruck and contemplative, with a wonder at the ingenuity of animal survival that never tips into sensationalism. Fans of Planet Earth II, Blue Planet II and Life on Earth will find the same patient, cinematic attention to the natural world. The series ran as a single season of seven episodes and suits viewers who want immersive, thoughtful wildlife television.
