## Synopsis

This crime mystery series follows a brilliant, socially awkward detective and his steadfast companion as they take on puzzling cases that the official police cannot untangle. Each story unfolds as a contained puzzle, with clues laid out for the viewer to chase alongside the investigators. The tone balances sharp wit and playful banter with moments of genuine menace, as the duo confronts killers whose methods are cunning and sometimes chilling. The relationship at the heart of the show gives it warmth; the detective's arrogance is tempered by loyalty and quiet affection. Atmosphere matters throughout, with foggy streets, candlelit interiors, and a rich sense of an era defined by reason and rigid social order. Viewers drawn to clever plotting, character-driven mysteries, and an enduring odd-couple dynamic will find the series engaging and easy to return to. The emotional payoff comes less from grand twists than from the satisfaction of watching a sharp mind at work and a friendship grow steadier with each case.
