## Synopsis

Bang Baaja Baaraat (2015) is an Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy miniseries created for YouTube. Across five short episodes of roughly eighteen minutes each, a couple from very different backgrounds, Shahana Arora (Angira Dhar) and Pawan Sharma (Ali Fazal), decide to marry but need their parents' blessings. Three days before the wedding, the two families are introduced to each other, and the result is an escalating run of awkward dinners, pointed remarks and generational clashes. Angira Dhar and Ali Fazal anchor the story alongside Ayesha Raza Mishra as Roli Sharma, Rajit Kapoor as Ranjeet Arora and Gajraj Rao as Murli Prasad Sharma, with Shernaz Patel as Sushmita Ghosh. The engine is simple: two young people want a joyful wedding while their elders resist every compromise, so each episode layers another misunderstanding onto the last. The tone is breezy, warm and cheerfully chaotic, with the comedy rooted in ordinary family friction and the romance built on mutual affection. It belongs to a tradition of Indian wedding comedies and romcoms in the vein of Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! and Monsoon Wedding, and suits viewers who enjoy light family comedy with a clear, compact shape.
