## Synopsis

Wakfu (2008-present) is a French animated fantasy adventure series created for France 3 and France 4, produced by Ankama. Following young hero Yugo alongside his friends Amalia, Evangelyne, Tristepin, Ruel and Az, the story centers on a band of mismatched companions trying to rescue the world of Wakfu from destruction. The engine is the quest itself: each episode moves the party through vivid fantasy landscapes, confronting rival forces and magical threats while their bonds are tested along the way. The series runs across five seasons and 104 episodes, telling one continuing story with episodic adventures folded into a larger arc. Its tone is playful and energetic, blending bright comedy with earnest heroism and warm friendship. The look is saturated and kinetic, built for family viewing. Fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Code Lyoko and Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir will find resonance in its animated team-based quest structure and its appeal to younger audiences.
