## Synopsis

Second Chance (2016) is an American network sci-fi drama created by Rand Ravich for FOX. Tim DeKay plays Duval Pritchard, and Robert Kazinsky stars as Jimmy Pritchard, a disgraced former sheriff whose life ends at the hands of corrupt police officers. Brought back to life by a pair of young tech scientists, Mary Goodwin (Dilshad Vadsaria) and Otto Goodwin (Adhir Kalyan), he returns in a 35-year-old body with unpredictable near-superhuman abilities. The engine of the show is his struggle to reclaim his name and his family while the abilities that saved him draw unwanted attention. Episodes unfold as a procedural, with investigations into crimes and corruption that thread together a larger story. Philip Baker Hall appears as the older version of the protagonist, and Ciara Bravo plays his daughter Gracie, anchoring the family drama. The tone is earnest and action-driven, with moments of grit and emotional tension beneath the genre spectacle. A single-season run of eleven episodes, the series delivers a serialized mix of crime and sci-fi in the vein of Quantum Leap and Forever, a network crime-fantasy for fans of second-chance stories and procedural science fiction.
