## Synopsis

Válótársak (2015-2018) is a Hungarian dramedy series created for RTL, following the same ensemble of adults across three seasons of ten episodes each. Charming businessman Bálint Sáfár (András Stohl) is caught cheating when his wife Zsófi Sáfár (Gabriella Gubás) walks out, and he relocates to one of his unsold houses. There he is joined by his subcontractor Joci Hatvani (Tamás Lengyel), who has split from Szonja Vándor (Eszter Földes) after years of fertility struggles and hormone treatment, and by successful businessman Dávid Jakab (Péter Scherer), who asks to stay while he tries to save a marriage to Tamara Jakab (Mónika Balsai) that she wants to end. The engine of each episode is the awkward daily life of these freshly separated men: cooking, renovation jobs, dating attempts and confessions to ex-partners that keep reopening old wounds. The show is a relationship drama with a comic streak, built from frank talk about infidelity, pregnancy and divorce. Its tone is wry and warm, with a grounded contemporary Budapest setting and a bittersweet look at adult love. Viewers who enjoy Sex and the City, Desperate Housewives and Girls will find resonance in its messy romantic entanglements and candid humor.
