## Synopsis

Game of Silence (2016) is an American crime drama series created by David Hudgins for NBC. Atlanta attorney Jackson Brooks (David Lyons) finds his comfortable professional life upended when his long-lost childhood friends reappear after twenty-five years. Gil Harris (Michael Raymond-James) and Shawn Polk (Larenz Tate) carry the weight of a dark secret they believed was buried, and the brotherhood's bond is stretched as they reunite to right the wrongs of their shared past. The engine of the season is loyalty pushed to its limit, with each episode building on old debts, hard choices and a growing thirst for revenge. Jessie West (Bre Blair) and Marina Nagle (Claire van der Boom) bring additional pressure from outside the circle, while Detective Liz Winters (Deidrie Henry) closes in on the trail. The show is a single ten-episode season that was canceled after its run, so its story remains unfinished. Its tone is tense and brooding, with a grim, morally compromised feel. Fans of Ozark, Better Call Saul and Sons of Anarchy will find resonance in its blend of criminal conspiracy, loyalty and the cost of a buried past.
