## Synopsis

Mother Goose (2015-2025) is a Swedish national-television nordic noir crime drama series created by Richard Holm and aired on TV4 Hits and C More. Sonja Ek (Alexandra Rapaport) lives a seemingly carefree suburban life with her husband Fredrik Ek (Magnus Roosmann) and their children, Nina Ek (Clara Christiansson Drake) and Linus Ek (Edvin Ryding), while the family finances rest on Fredrik's illicit marijuana business. When that hidden world collapses, Sonja must play a perilous double game against organized crime and the police to keep her children safe, never certain which allies can be trusted. The engine is domestic: a mother improvising under pressure, with each season built from criminal negotiations, dangerous exchanges and tense confrontations that bleed into family life. Across seven seasons and fifty-six episodes, the story stays continuous, with the cast including Ulf Friberg, Grynet Molvig and Tommy Korberg in supporting roles. The mood is tense and paranoid, grounded in contemporary Swedish suburbs and shaded by moral ambiguity. Fans of Breaking Bad, Ozark and The Bridge will find resonance in its blend of family stakes, criminal menace and shifting loyalties.
