## Synopsis

Real Rob (2015-2017) is an American comedy series created by Rob Schneider for Netflix. Comedian Rob Schneider plays a fictionalized version of himself, navigating everyday life as a working celebrity in Hollywood alongside his real family, including Patricia Schneider as Patricia, Jamie Lissow as Jamie and Miranda Schneider, with Max Amini as an oddball stalker named Steve. The engine of the show is the gap between Rob's self-image as a Hollywood star and the awkward, mundane reality of his career, friendships and home life. Each episode is a short, self-contained comic misadventure built around encounters with fans, friends and industry figures, which keeps the tone loose, irreverent and talkative. Across two seasons of half-hour episodes, the format stays consistent, offering a brisk, self-mocking look at fame. Fans of Curb Your Enthusiasm and Extras will find resonance in its cringe humor, celebrity satire and blurred line between performer and persona. The show is set in present-day Los Angeles and carries the raw, sometimes crude energy of a streaming-era comedy that gleefully punctures Hollywood vanity.
