## Synopsis

Morgen hör ich auf (2016) is a German crime drama miniseries created by Sönke Lars Neuwöhner, Martin Eigler and Sven S. Poser for ZDF. Bastian Pastewka stars as Jochen Lehmann, an overwhelmed family man whose financial troubles push him to start producing counterfeit money inside his own run down print shop. Susanne Wolff plays Julia Lehmann, his wife, while Janina Fautz and Moritz Jahn play the couple's children, and André Jung appears as Andreas Gerlach among the figures drawn into the scheme. The engine of the story is the slow, practical work of forging bills in a cramped workshop while the family's ordinary life presses in around it, every step raising the stakes and making escape harder. Told across five hour-long episodes in a single limited season, the series moves with a tense, claustrophobic rhythm rather than a case-of-the-week format. Its tone is sober and anxious, with moments of dark irony and domestic weariness, and its theme is the thin line between getting by and falling apart. Fans of Breaking Bad, Ozark and Fargo will find resonance in its portrait of a respectable life quietly coming apart.
