## Synopsis

Well, Just You Wait! (1969-2006) is a Soviet animated comedy short series created by Arkadiy Khayt, Aleksandr Kurlyandskiy and Felix Kandel and produced for Central Television USSR. Across twenty roughly nine-minute episodes, a scheming wolf, voiced by Anatoliy Papanov, chases a quick-witted hare, voiced by Klara Rumyanova, who is always one step ahead. The engine is pure pursuit: the wolf devises ever more elaborate traps and disguises while the hare turns the tables with timing and wit, and supporting characters either lend the hare a hand or muddle the wolf's plans. Each episode is built from visual gags and physical slapstick rather than dialogue, giving the show a breezy, joyful, cheerful rhythm that works for children and adults alike. Its single season is a self-contained run of brisk cartoon vignettes rather than a continuing story. Set in no specific historical era, it carries the warm, gently absurd flavor of Soviet animation and stands as a homegrown answer to American studios. Fans of Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes will find resonance in its chase-driven humor and recurring rivalry, and it remains an easy, comforting family rewatch.
