## Synopsis

Lucky Luke (1984-1992) is a French animated western comedy series for France 3 and Super RTL, a family-friendly adaptation of the Franco-Belgian comic that runs for two seasons and fifty-two episodes. The cowboy hero Lucky Luke, voiced by Jacques Thébault, rides across the Old West with his horse Double Six and sets out to right wrongs and bring evildoers to justice. The engine of each episode is simple and bright: a town or traveler is threatened, and Luke must outwit the schemes of his traditional enemies, the Dalton Brothers, whose clumsy plots keep returning. Voice cast including Pierre Tornade as Averell Dalton and Roger Carel, who voices several characters, gives the show its playful character work. Episodes are self-contained adventures that can be watched in any order, shaped by slapstick gags, quick draws, and sly parody of frontier myth. The tone stays breezy, gentle, and witty, with a comic sense of justice that never lingers on danger. Fans of Tiny Toons Adventures, Bonanza, and Asterix and Obelix will find a similar mix of humor, outlaw antics, and light adventure.
