## Synopsis

Kanıt (2010-2013) is a Turkish crime procedural series created by Selin Atasoy Hartevioğlu and Ahmet Saatçioğlu for Kanal D. Police inspectors Orhan Özdemir (Engin Benli) and Selim Dağdelen (Deniz Celiloğlu) investigate a homicide or puzzling death in each episode, relying on the guidance of forensic evidence and the anecdotes of forensic scientist Professor Sevil Atasoy, who appears in the series as the narrator and occasional consultant. Each case is largely self-contained, so the series runs as a case-of-the-week format spread across three seasons and roughly one hundred episodes of feature-length, 75-minute runtime. The engine is the methodical unravelling of a crime through interviews, clues and lab findings, with the two inspectors balancing rivalry and friendship as they chase the truth. Set in contemporary Istanbul, the series has a measured, grounded tone that rewards close attention to detail, with a steady atmosphere of investigation rather than shock. Fans of Law & Order, Bones and Columbo will find resonance in its procedural structure, its forensic focus and its partnership-driven mysteries.
